Comment from Vanessa Stuart,
ISS Administrator & AYI Instructor
Vanessa
Stuart has
a wealth of experience aboard and ashore. She’s got 15 years experience
on megayachts, 10+ years as the head
stewardess of a 160’ Feadship who’s owner was very
private for security reasons. She said if she told me the name
of the yacht, she’d have to kill me!

Vanessa is
Administrator for the
International Superyacht Society and is in daily contact with
leaders throughout the industry. She’s also a Lead Instructor
for the
American Yacht Institute and has a comprehensive pulse on the heartbeat
of this industry.
Vanessa’s
participated in two of our programs and is one of our greatest
advocates. We asked her to give an example of how our
programs benefit captains and crew. She replies…
“This program
is wonderful when there is a change on board, especially for a
new Captain with old crew, an old Captain with new crew or a new
vessel where everything is new; all of the above are stressful
changes and hard on everyone’s constitution. This program gets
everyone in Sync so they can all be engaged in a new day of
leadership, teamwork and inspiration.
On board
time, personnel space and teamwork are precious commodities, the
faster you can get through the barriers the better results will
be; it’s so important to live in a happy environment where
everyone can participate, have fun and enjoy the work that they
have chosen as their career.
It does not
matter where you come from or where you are going, this program
is beneficial.”
